Reflection Paper 2 - As Organizer

I. Details of the event/activity

My team, pixelPlay, gave a lecture named "Internet of Things: Endless Possibilities" on December 22, 2022, to educate the progress of the internet or technology in our world. The free webinar will be live streamed on Google Meet and Facebook. Mr. Juan Paulo Pineda (Pricon Microelectronics' IT Manager) presented the main aspects that everyone should be aware of.

II. Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)

This encounter taught me a great deal. Because the crew meticulously discussed and organized the event, it was a success. As a member of the technical team, this is my third event. We were delighted to conduct it because of the positive comments we had from the prior webinar, even though we were worried and had some technical issues when the webinar began. Mr. Juan Paulo Pineda shared his own experience as well as the foundations of the Internet of Things. Many of our Google Meet attendees and Facebook Live viewers indicated a wish to participate in another webinar with Mr. Juan Paulo Pineda after their interactions with him. Many attendees, including the organizers, expressed a wish to hear Mr. Juan speak again because he stopped the audience from growing bored by asking participants if they had any questions and he directly discussed the topic and highlighted all of the crucial elements that needed to be learnt. He also sent a video to help clarify the subject further.

III. Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input

on a practical level (practical application of learnings)

I can use the knowledge I gained from this webinar in my everyday life. My knowledge of the internet of things has been updated, and I've picked up new knowledge, particularly regarding the latest technologies in use today. I think it will be advantageous to use my recently acquired knowledge in upcoming tasks.

IV. Positive feedback (on the event organization)

The webinar ran smoothly. The planning and preparation for the webinar were well worth the time and effort put forth. Participants and audience members actively participate in Mr. Juan Paulo Pineda's questions. The Speaker was pleased with how engaged the audience was. Additionally, the speaker mentioned how much he enjoyed this webinar.

V. Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities

The technical team had trouble last time, but this webinar went off without a hitch because we had learned from our mistakes. I do have one suggestion for improvement, though: there is no audio when we play videos. I'm hoping it will be corrected in a later event.
